We take your family's privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect when you order a personalized bedtime story, how we use it, and what choices you have. We've kept it straightforward on purpose.
What we collect
When you place an order and complete our details form, we collect your email address along with your child's first name, age, and any preferences or personality details you choose to share — the things that help us shape a story around them.
We also receive standard payment information through our payment processor. We do not see or store your full credit card number.
How we use it
The details you share about your child are used for one purpose: creating their story. Your email address is used to deliver the finished story file and to follow up if we have a question about your order. We may also use it to send a delivery confirmation or to let you know if there's a delay.
We do not send marketing emails unless you specifically ask to hear from us.
Our creative process
Each story is shaped by a person who reads the details you share and builds a narrative around your child. As part of that process, we use AI-assisted writing and narration tools to help craft and produce the final story. A real person guides the creative decisions — the details you share are handled with care, not processed by a machine and left alone.
The information you provide about your child may be processed by these tools during story creation. We choose tools with appropriate data handling practices and do not use your child's information for any purpose beyond making their story.
Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted services to run our business:
Stripe processes payments. Your email provider delivers the finished story. Our site is hosted on Vercel. Each of these services has its own privacy policy, and we choose providers with strong data handling standards.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
How long we keep your information
We retain order details and your child's story information only as long as needed to fulfill your order and provide reasonable follow-up support. If you'd like us to delete your information sooner, we're happy to do that — just ask.
Your rights
You can request at any time that we correct information, delete your data, or provide a copy of what we have on file. We respond to these requests promptly and without hassle. Reach us at hello@thehappydreamercompany.com.
Children's privacy
Our product is made for children, but our customer is you — the parent or guardian. We do not collect information directly from children. Everything we receive comes through the parent who places the order.
We collect only what's needed to create a story your child will love, and we do not use children's information for any other purpose. If you believe we've received information about a child that shouldn't have been shared, please contact us and we'll address it right away.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and note what changed. We won't reduce your protections without letting you know.
